This layered artwork brings legend and landscape together through the silhouette of a mermaid, delicately cast in resin over an original Ordnance Survey map of Cornwall, with guilded text. The piece draws inspiration from the ancient tale of the Mermaid of Zennor, a local folklore figure said to have lured a young singer into the sea, never to return.
